Description of item for sale. This magnificent solid oak door set (pair of doors and transom) is from France and dates to the late 1800’s or very early 1900’s. The set is made from solid oak with cast iron grilles. Note that one of the two side pieces is actually a solid part of the center door and the other one is a separate door that hinges on the opposite side of the frame. Each door has a glass window that can be opened. The doors are well made and are flat and not warped in any way. The transom also originally had a window that is now missing. The entire set is in very good antique condition. We note the following points of damage: the bottom edges are worn and eroded, especially on the smaller door (see photos) and the paint is old and chipped here and there. Dimensions : The set (doors and transom) is 47″ wide and 98″ tall. The larger door is 80″ tall, 33.5″ wide and 1.75 thick. The smaller door is 13.5 wide.
