ART DECO Sterling RED Crystal Channel Set BraceletVintage 1920s-30s Tennis Line. With sparkling square Ruby RED crystals, channel-set in sterling silver, this elegant and sophisticated Art Deco bracelet was made in the 1920s – 1930s. This type of bracelet is a forerunner of today’s “tennis” bracelet and was called a “line” bracelet in its day. Important looking enough to stand alone, it also looks great worn in multiples. The last photo is of this bracelet along with a line bracelet in green, listed separately. This listing is for the red one only. So well-made, the bracelet is fully articulated and flexible and lays beautifully on the arm. It measures about 3/16″ wide by about 6-7/8″ long by about 1/8 deep. The closure is a well-working tongue in groove clasp that is “hidden” for an unbroken design. It also has a safety chain for added security. The bracelet is signed “Sterling” on the back. The bracelet is in Very Good / Excellent vintage condition with nothing more than surface dirt, light scratches and tarnish. Basically, it could just use a good clean and this Art Deco bracelet is beautiful and rich looking. Though made of sterling and crystal, it looks like its fine jewelry counterparts and comes from a time when great skill and care went into fashioning imitations of fine jewelry. This stunning and versatile bracelet looks sensational on and will go with everything. Not too flashy to wear in the day time, it takes on a glamorous look at night.
