Up for sale today is a Fantastic Original ca. 1910 Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Travel Vanity Set! This set is in its original Tiffany marked leather carrying case. It originally consisted of 15 pieces, but 1 is missing and one is a non-Tiffany, non-Sterling replacement brush. Each piece is marked Tiffany, even the leather bound folding mirror (which is obviously not Sterling). Each Sterling piece also has the monogram ” V O’N B “. All of the pieces to this set are in remarkable condition for their age, with only minor typical use/storage wear. The hair brush does have 2 stress cracks at the top of the handle (see pictures), and the comb is missing a couple of teeth. The leather around the mirror shows some rubs, and the mirror has a couple of spots. The leather carrying case shows the most wear, including splits along the folds, and plenty of rubs and scratches to the outside. It is also marked Tiffany, and you can see where the original owners name was printed just below that, but was marked out at one time. There is some other light gold writing on the front flap, but its pretty faint. What a wonderful set! Its pretty complete, and really in nice condition!
