Offered for sale is a set of framed Minton Seasons Tiles from the series of twelve images created by John Moyr Smith for Minton China Works illustrating scenes from the books of poetry by Thomson, entitled The Seasons. There is one tile from each of the 4 seasons, Spring Ploughing Summer – Musidora and Damon Autumn – Lavinia and Palemon Winter – Ice Skating which date to around 1875. Frame measures approximately 12.0 X 12.0. Condition is used, and there are small areas that have lost their glaze and a nick now and again to the frame. Please view my other unique items for Sale.
