This listing is for an elaborately decorated large sixteen (16) piece Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Period dresser or vanity set by Foster & Bailey, c. The set features Sterling Silver frames with a highly chased floral design with roses around outside edges featuring in the center a female silhouette with a dove above her head. This elegant set includes. (1) Hand Mirror – measures 9 1/4″ long, 5″ in diameter and 1 1/8 deep (silver back). Condition: Mirror has normal expected minor dents on silver edge although the embossed design on the silver is excellent. The mirror’s silver backing is very worn and mirror has some surface scratches. (2) Hair Brush – measures 7 3/4″ long, 2 3/4″ wide and 1 1/2 deep. Condition: Very minor dents on silver edge of brush. Brush bristles have been replaced and are in excellent condition. (3) Hair Comb – measures 7 1/2″ long and 1 3/4″ wide. Condition: Very minor dents on silver edge. Comb has been replaced, however, one tooth is missing. (4) Rectangular Clothes Brush – 3 1/2″ long, 2 3/8″ wide and 1 1/2 deep. Condition: Very minor dents around silver edge with fancy 3-letter monogram “G C A” on one short side. Natural brush bristles are original and are in good condition with some shedding. (5) Clothes Brush with Handle – measures 7 1/4″ long, 4 1/4″ wide and 1 3/8 deep (at center of silver). Bristles measure 3 long. Condition: Very minor dents on silver edges. Natural brush bristles are original and are in good condition. (6) Largest Toiletries Jar (with gilded interior) – measures 2 1/4″ high and 3″ in diameter. Silver top weighs 20 grams. Condition: Very minor dents on silver edge with no damage to glass body. (7-8) Pair Small Toiletries Jars – measure 1 1/2″ high and 1 1/2″ in diameter. Combined weight of silver tops is 20 grams. Very minor dents on silver edges with no damage to glass bodies. (9-11) Three Nail Tools – largest measures 7″ long and smallest measures 5 1/4″ long with 1 wide handles. Combined weight is 95 grams. Very minor dents on silver edges with tool ends being in good, usable condition. (12) Glove Stretchers – measure 8 1/4″ long and 3″ wide at handles. Condition: Minor dents on silver edges and one spot of silver plating loss on stretcher arm. (13) Shoe Horn – measures 8 1/2″ long and 1 1/2″ wide. Condition: Minor dents on silver edges and slight corrosion on stainless end. (14) Button Hook – measures 7 1/4 long. Minor dents on silver edge and minor corrosion on stainless end. (15) Hat Brush – measures 7 long. Brush end marked “France” with natural bristles. Minor dents on silver edge with bristles in very good condition. (16) Scissors – measures 4 1/4″ long and 2″ wide (at handle). Marked F & B on scissor end and on Sterling end. The combined weight is approximately 4 pounds. This nice dresser/vanity set is in very good to excellent Estate condition with only minor dents/dings as expected with normal wear commensurate with age.
