German silver chatelaine set is made up of a comb case with comb, a knife, a mirror case with mirror and a pencil holder with pencil. The French silver chains bear the French Boars Head on each attachment, the hallmark used in Paris since 1838 for small items and indicating a silver content between 800 and 1000. The French silver folding knife is designed in an iris pattern and engraved with the name. It bears the French Boars Head and the words. The German silver pencil holder, designed in a mistletoe pattern, bears the number 800 guaranteeing that the silver content is superior to 800 and the French importation hallmark consisting of the image of a weevil. Folding comb and folding mirror case are designed in the same mistletoe pattern as the pencil holder. The mirror case is also ornamented with oak leaves and stylized foliage. This set is in good condition with the exception of signs of age and use including faint scratches, tiny dents, darkening on the knife blade and. Please refer to the detailed photos on this page.
