Beautifully dainty Art Nouveau / Jugendstil antique ring, with bezel set opal and reticulated banded shoulders. Solid 14k rose Gold, I acquired this in Europe. Would be a sweet ring to wear alone or the perfect stacking ring. The opal is really wonderful, it catches the light so beautifully and positively glows in direct light. Box used for staging is not included. No hallmarks but the dealer I bought it from told me it was 14k gold, and it tested as such for me as well. Ring is currently about a size 5 1/2. The opal is about 6mm by 5mm. Please note that all my pieces are in estate condition. No chips or cracks to the opal, it has a beautiful coloring, but has a bit of a matte finish from wear to the surface. A few shallow nicks and surface wear to the band from age and it is ever so slightly out of round but still sturdy. Still a fantastic and eye catching piece with that very beautiful iridescent opal that is very eye catching. But of course due to age – Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. I always recommend gentle wear with these old pieces as they are more delicate in their antique settings compared to brand new. I would be delighted if you’d follow me in my store.
