For sale is a decorative early Victorian Solid Silver Christening Set in (worn) fitted case – likely a child’s given size. The handles taking a lovely naturalistic / art nouveau style. The knife and spoon are both hallmarked/ No markings to the fork, but it matches perfectly so presume to be solid silver also (looks and feels the same). Hallmarks are for Birmingham 1854 – makers mark is a little too rubbed to make out clearly. Total weight is about 36g. The cutlery itself is in good vintage condition with some light age related wear – the set has not been cleaned and it would benefit from a light polish. The fitted case is worn with the lid detached from the base. My items are all used, vintage or antique and so will have signs of usage and wear from a past life.
