The detail and framing on this piece is amazing… Measures approx 2″ long and 3″ wide… This was the type of brooch that was used to secure a sash at a ladies hip during the late 1880/1910 when wearing a sash over the shoulder and across the bosom (imitating Queen Victoria) or around the waist was popular..
