SIMILAR OR BETTER TO MARTELE PIECES IN QUALITY AND FEELING. Very fine antique sterling silver tea or coffee set. Tea or coffee pot, creamer and covered sugar bowl. Reed & Barton Silver Company, Massachusetts, circa late 19th century. Famous LES SIX FLEURS multi-motif pattern. Every piece is chased with different flowers. Superb quality hand chased repousse decoration – meticulous attention to smallest realistic details. Tea pot is about 9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm) tall. Creamer is about 6 3/4 in. (17.1 cm) high at the handle. Sugar bowl is 7 1/8 in. (18.1 cm) high including finial and 7 3/8 in. (18.8 cm) wide at the handles. Total weight is about 63.4 troy oz. (1973 grams) – feels very heavy for the size. Very good original antique condition with normal charming indication of age. Few very minor expected dents, some normal scratches. Minor play on the handle of teapot. NEVER WAS POLISHED ON THE WHEEL – DETAILS ARE CRISP. Beautiful original monogram on the side of each piece (not deep and can be removed). IT’S HARD TO IMAGINE THAT HIGH RAISED DECORATION IS HAND CHASED FROM THE SHEET OF SILVER METAL, BUT IT IS!
