Set of FOUR figural Art Nouveau floral pieces in the Poppy pattern, solid sterling silver, not frequently seen in sets. The three with floral spoon bowls are by Paye & Baker and the teaspoon is by Watson but I thought it looked nice in the set. I have a set of Paye & Baker Daisy pieces listed as well, and an additional pair of Paye and Baker Art Nouveau pieces in the Pond Lily pattern (with a rare serving piece) as seen in the last photo if a mix and match set is desired. I love their figural stuff! I also have a figural poppy tea strainer by an unknown maker that would look great with this set. 5 1/2 inch Sugar or Jelly Spoon. 7 3/8 long slotted Olive Spoon or Cocktail Stirrer. 5 1/2 Teaspoon in the Watson Poppy pattern from their Flower of the Month, with September stamped on the back. ONLY ONE MONOGRAM on the back of the teaspoon bowl, not visible when in use or when the table is set. Paye and Baker’s Poppy pattern dates to 1908. And the Watson teaspoon with the initials on the back of the spoon bowl is dated for 1910 which provides a nice provenance. Great quality and life-like detail to this pattern. Beautiful floral art nouveau detail on both sides, front and back of all the handles. Figural floral bowl on the three P&B spoons and high relief detail on the teaspoon. Like little works of art! The long spoon, sugar spoon and handle of the Watson spoon are very dark. The ladle, while still having some patina and definition is not as dark, but would likely catch up and become uniform over time. Measurements per piece are above. Set weighs a combined 91 Grams. The set has no dings or bends, and most have very little surface wear. There are a few utensil scratches and scuffs on the Watson spoon bowl due to the mirrored finish there. There are some stubborn tarnish spots. A few scuffs on the back where the pieces meet the table. Marked with the Paye & Baker hallmark and “Sterling”. Watson spoon is marked Sterling with their hallmark and September. Would be awesome for tea or dessert service or a home bar!
