A very rare and totally original set of Victorian dining chairs. They have the original distressed and heavily worn upholstery which has been embossed with lovely detail to the back and base. The studs are sublime, over sized and very detailed, the brass handles depict Victorian interpretations of dolphins, on top you find hand carved Lions mains, very nice. In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished them from top to bottom, there are good honest signs of patina all over from centurys of use, structurally they are sound. As mentioned the leather is original, it has ware and patina marks all over as you would expect from hide 140+ years old. The bases are coil sprung with the original horse hair padding. We have cleaned waxed and polished the set, they are structurally sound. Depth:- 47.5cm.
