STUNNING 1898 ENGLISH STERLING SILVER 5 PIECE VANITY SETTING. This is the first time weve listed an English Sterling Silver item made by a lady. Hallmarked Chester with date letter P for 1898, makers mark F. W for Florence Warden. The set comes in the original retailers / jewellers display case bearing the name Gowland, Sunderland, UK. The case measures 34cms wide x 20.5cms deep x 9cms high. The raised relief / repousse Sterling Silver overlay design is in stunning condition on all 5 pieces. The pieces are not solid sterling just the overlay. The largest piece is the mirror measuring 25cms long, it has some silvering, see last photo. The front section of the case has a drop down flap, the felt has come away and needs regluing. All 5 pieces and the lid of the case are monogrammed with the initials E.
