Here’s a really pretty Art Noveau patterns door set featuring 2 solid CAST brass door plates paired with two difficult-to-find 2– 18 pt crystal knobs and clean spindle. The design has been very popular for many years. The brass plates are thick, cast brass (not the much-thinner stamped brass, like so many others); in very good antique condition (no dings, dents or deep scratches); magnet does not stick. Pretty crystal “flower petal” knobs are classic 2 diameter, do not spin in their collars; no obvious chips or cracks; feel nice and smooth in your hand; are not rusted/frozen on the spindle and knob centers are not all rusty or corroded. Knobs have the cute little tip or nipple in the middle. Parts have been cleaned and the set is ready to install. These antiques date back to the 1920’s-1940’s or so and are as popular today as they were back in the day, if not more so. They will last forever and are never out of style. And, so much prettier, more interesting and better- quality than those cheap-looking reproductions you see at retail stores. This set is in very good vintage condition, consistent with age and use; taken off old doors. It is not like-new or perfect. These knobs were originally used with a mortise lock, but you don’t need one; a “tube latch” will work just fine on modern doors. You can find tube latches at some hardware stores or I can provide one for additional cost. This beautiful vintage hardware will make your door look special. Beautiful detail, quality casting, antique charm. You cant go wrong! As with all antique, vintage and pre-owned items, they may have some degree of visible wear, discoloration, dust, tarnish, patina etc, which is considered normal. This hardware is old so its not like-new or perfect but it displays very well and I consider it to be in in very good to excellent vintage condition, consistent with age and use, but you be the judge.
