Art Nouveau WMF Jugendstil eight piece cordial set. Floral Iris tray, 6 cups and decanter pitcher. Complete 8-piece silverplated drink set in the text book Jugendstil /Art Nouveau style with incredibly intricate details of flowing flowers and irises made by WMF in Germany. WMF is the abbreviation for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, which in English means Wurtemberg Metalware Factory. The marks on this set date it from the period of 1886 to 1903. So rare to find a COMPLETE set like this in this condition. The tray has repousse irises on the handles and two repousse shells in the middle, and then additional floral details are etched onto the tray itself. The pitcher and the cups are smooth on the inside so the flower and stem designs are raised / applied, not repousse. Please note this is not in mint condition as it is well over 100 years old.
