WMF Art Nouveau Cutlery Set. Model: 200 Kreuzband / Louis XVI. Formerly Model 25 first version 1911. Original Jugendstil OAK CASE, for 12 people. Compromising: table, dessert, coffee, tea, serving pieces, knife benches. And two rare Salt Cellar´s (Saliera) with the spoons. The Art Nouveau was not only the curved line as by Henry van de Velde. Or the floral one, like the Paris Metro stations by Hector Guimard. It consisted of many views of important creators of the new “modern”. The oak case shows up the rather strict geometric Art Nouveau. As by Koloman-Moser or Josef Hoffmann (who also formed the floral Art Nouveau). Fantastic piece of history, from WMF and from an art historical point of view. Of course with traces of use, but after 110 years. One can confidently assume a very good condition worth collecting. No silver abrasion, no damage to the cabinet. 55cm x 37cm and 34cm height. The item “WMF Art Nouveau 1911 Cutlery 99 pcs.
