Gothic, Art Nouveau Figural Sterling Silver Vanity Dresser Set With Birds, Faces. Broadway and Company made in England. The firm was founded in 1901 by William Benjamin Broadway. The company is still located in the same area of Birmingham today, which is known as theJewellery Quarter. This is a hard to find repousse 3 piece sterling silver dresser set with fanciful faces, flourishes and flying birds on each piece except the small brush only has the flourishes. Made around 1900 I estimate. The pieces are in good condition with some minor issues. The edge on the clothes brush has loosened from the silver. It can be re-tightened or left as is because it seems to be fine as it is and it doesn’t feel loose at all. I have photographed it. The are minor dents as to be expected with something this old. These are shown in photos. The pieces have a nice weight to them and feel substantial in your hand. It is a beautiful set with relatively minor flaws for it’s age.
