Early 1900s, original, treasured, American-made, Estate Silverware Set in Sterling Silver, crafted by the WHITING Manufacturing Company, New York, NY. Sterling Silver, LILY pattern, featuring exquisite Lily flowers, complete set for a dinner service of 12, totalling 90 pieces. Most pieces stamped Pat: 1902/RD 1902. The Whiting Lily pattern was introduced in 1902 by Whiting. The high-relief handle features stalks of blossoming lilies at the base, middle, and end of the handle. Ornate, Art Nouveau, Japanesque flowers on both front and back with beautiful leaves. Includes two, original, scalloped-edge ladles – one large, one small. Regal script H monogram engraved on each handle, blends beautifully into ornate, floral design. I like to think the H stands for Happiness, Heavenly and High-Class! Or even Her Highness! Set consists of 90 Original Sterling Pieces. 1 Large Scalloped Ladle. 1 Small Scalloped Ladle. Presented in a Tarnish Proof, wooden chest by Makins, with a blue velvet lining. An Absolutely stunning set of classic, American craftsmanship! The item “Estate 1902 WHITING LILY Sterling Silver Flatware Set For 12 Original 90 Pieces” is in sale since Sunday, August 4, 2019.
