Presented is a set of American gilt sterling silver servers done in the style of silver from Hanau, Germany. The set includes a fork and a pie server. The handles are fantastically decorated with scrolls, flowers, and cherubic angels. A scene of an amorous couple decorates the head of each server. The pie server also has nice pierced work and a beautifully engraved scene of a single occupancy sailboat on calm waters. The tines of the fork have nice stippling. The back of each piece is engraved with the presentation, Emily from Marie. Each piece is marked STERLING for sterling silver purity, Marshall Field & Co for the retailer, and the product numbers 7200 on the pie server and 7201 on the fork. This set is in excellent condition. The gilding is a deep buttery yellow color and is in beautiful shape. There are no dents, breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs. The fork measures approximately 9 1/4 inches long. The pie server measures approximately 9 3/4 inches long. The set weighs 7.38 ounces or 209.3 grams. Powered by SixBit’s eCommerce Solution.
