Antique Set TEA STRAINER Sugar Sifter + SERVING SPOON Sterling Silver 800 German ART NOUVEAU. For your consideration, I’m offering two very unusual German Silver Serving pieces: a tea strainer / sugar sifter and a matching serving spoon. Both pieces have a gold gilt wash mainly on the bowls. The gold on the bowls is fully present, however, there is not a lot of gold on the handles. The Art Nouveau pieces are beautifully designed. The tea strainer is constructed to look like a big delicate DOGWOOD BLOOSOM. I’ve never seen another like it. Marked 800 Crown + Moon. 7 1/8, 50 grams. Marked 800 Crown + Moon + Moffert (Moffert Brothers, silver retailers, Baden Baden). 112 grams or about 4 Troy ounces. Very nice condition, no bends or repairs. These are quite unusual pieces. They certainly would make a bold statement on any table, certain to get noticed. I have owned these pieces for decades and have never seen anything similar!
