Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Watson Orchid Flower Salad Fork Spoon Serving Set
Presented is a wonderful quality Art Nouveau salad or serving set made by Watson. This set includes a large fork and spoon in the Orchid pattern, which was patented in 1903, just about the height of the Art Nouveau movement in the United States. This set is old production. Both pieces in this set are heavy weight for their size. Each handle is beautifully cast with a detailed, raised orchid flower. The leaves of the flower flow down each handle to provide an interesting design. The bowl of the spoon is scalloped and the tines of the fork have a decorative cut. The back of each piece is marked with the Watson hallmark and sterling. This set is in fabulous condition and the designs are crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs. The spoon measures 8 7/8 inches long, the fork measures 8 3/4 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 223.3 grams or 7.9 ounces. Powered by SixBit’s eCommerce Solution.
