This curtain festoon dates c 1890 and it’s French it once hung from a ciel de lit and would have adorned a glorious bed!!! Made using a very heavy weight ribbed cotton, with the most glorious large scale pattern! I LOVE this pattern! The ground tone is warm antique white and the other colors include: gold, ruddy oranges/ rusty toned, greens gray and rust This panel is one of a set, please see my other textiles for the matching panels a pattern that is rare and show stopping!!! This curtain would look wonderful hung as is or lovely too if it was deconstructed and used for for large upholstery, pillows, framing, ETC A wonderful find!
