Gorgeous Three Piece Desk Set Art Nouveau Inkwell Letter Holder Calendar. Offered is a gorgeous 3 piece desk set made in the early 1900s. The set consists of an inkwell, a letter holder and a calendar. All three pieces are bronze and have an ornate detailed Art Nouveau design. The inkwell has a removable cobalt blue glass insert. The base measures 5″ in diameter and stands 3″ high. The letter holder is footed and measures 4.5″ high and 4.25″ wide. The calendar is also footed and measures 4.5″ high and 4″ wide. It is the only piece out of the three that is signed. The calendar itself features multiple pieces of celluloid that can be exchanged depending on the month and which day of the week is the 1st. For example one of the month cards has January and February on one side and the other side is March and April. It is a very clever feature that can be used year after year. Overall the set is in excellent condition with a few minor spots of wear that does not detract from the appearance of the set.
