A rare “Bambou” Silver Plate Tea Set of High Quality by CHRISTOFLE. The set consists of a teapot on a stand with a detachable heater (height including the handle: 44 cm) and a sugar bowl (height: 15 cm). Each item is designed with a rounded handle in a bamboo design, and engraved with flowers and leafs typical to the Art Nouveau period. The pot features an ingenious seal mechanism to isolate the handle from the heat. The pot has some dents and a bent side holder which can be hammered/bent back into shape easily. The stand has a crack which doesn’t impact usability and could be welded. Both pieces are monogrammed. An incredibly decorative set from a time when household items were works of art..
