I doubt there is a better example for sale available anywhere at this time. If you are building your dream home or a premier commercial establishment, then this monumental set (19 tall) of antique door hardware should be seriously considered. Manufactured by the legendary Russel & Erwin Co. (Russwin) around 1915, the “L’Art Nouveau” line of hardware was their premier signature product at the time. Featured in their advertising (see second photo), the company spared no expense in the manufacture of this product. The quality of the casting is superb and the design is one of the best examples of art nouveau you will find anywhere. One thumb latch is missing and will need to be replaced… Or the plates can be used solely as pull handles. The doorplates are embossed with’Napo’ and’P410′ on the backside (see last photo). Russwin’ is inscribed on the deadbolt and embossed on the exterior of the mortise case. Features: The faceplates are substantially cast from bronze and weigh over three pounds each. The lock faceplate is solid brass, nearly 1/4 thick. The lock is reversible (can be used for the right or left swing door). I do not have a key for the cylinder locks. A local locksmith should be able to provide one. The faceplates and mortise lock have been professionally cleaned. The plates have not been polished since you might prefer them in their natural state. The mortise lock has been mechanically refurbished and is fully functional. The case of the mortise lock had a crack which was repaired (see photos). Since I do not have a key, I was unable to test the cylinder locks to confirm their functionality. The Doorplates measure 19″ tall by 3 1/2″ wide. The Mortise lock faceplate measures 7 3/4″ tall by 1 3/8″ wide. The mortise box is 3 5/8″ deep from the back of the front plate and it is 5 1/8″ top to bottom. No stock photography. You will receive exactly what you see in the photographs.
