Offering a rare antique sterling silver four piece vanity set consisting of a mirror, two clothes brushes and comb by Kerr, Newark, NJ. This fine set, in Kerr’s desirable American Beauty pattern, features a glamorous Gibson Girl with very long hair surrounded by flowers and vines all in extremely high repousse’ relief. A beveled glass mirror, horse hair bristles and faux tortoise comb completes the design. All pieces Signed, Kerr, Sterling 1447. Measuring: Mirror 10″ Long, 5 1/2″ Wide, Brush 9 1/4″ Long, Brush 7 1/4″ Long, 2 5/8″ Wide, Comb 7 5/8″ Long, 1 3/4. The condition is near mint. Remarkably the surfaces of each piece ie: Noses, Chins, Flowers etc, are pristine. Only very few very minor denting to the edges. The most significant one is to the mirror edge. It runs laterally and is barely noticeable. One missing connector pin to the comb but, is still firmly attached. The horse hair bristles are very fine. Please see my other listings.
