Set of 6 Nippon Art Nouveau Blue Green & Gold Floral Scrollwork Bread Plates Nice antique set of 6 porcelain bread plates. Nicely decorated with a hand painted Art Nouveau style floral scrollwork border in blue, green, aqua and gold gilding over ivory. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse with a blue Hand Painted Nippon mark with a Maruki symbol in this center. This mark was used between 1912 and 1921. These have some wear to the gilding and usage wear consistent with age, but otherwise good condition. Each plate measures approximately 6 1/4 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
