Vtg Set 6 MORGANTOWN Needle Etched ART NOUVEAU Optic Water Goblets Glasses. 7 7/8″ tall, 3.5″ across top, 2 7/8 foot. Hand blown hand etched with lovely vertical optic panels and a tapered indent at bottom of bowl, very unusual shape. Classic Art Nouveau style at its very best. Incredibly elegant needle etched pattern of swirled ribbons and plants shapes intertwining. Forms stunning shapes around the bowl. Looks lovely from the outside of the glass and also while drinking from the glass and looking into it. See all pics and use zoom. This pattern is circa the early 1900s. A gorgeous, heirloom set. Nice size for wine as well as water. Rare to find, especially in a large set. Excellent condition to all 6 – No nicks, chips, fleabite marks, scratches, or damage to any. No signs of usage or wear. An unusual and very distinctive shape. The stem is known as style 7668 by Morgantown. Beautifully weighted and balanced, these glasses are a pleasure to hold. This is a great set for a vintage glass collector and would look very special in use or on display where the light can shine through them.
